Double Shot Film Studio was founded in Chennai by R. Raghavendra — a filmmaker with ~22 years in advertising and filmmaking across creative direction, production, client relationships and business development.
His career has taken him from television promos and music videos to national brand campaigns. Along the way, his production years include work for brands such as Reebok, Burger King, Amul, Bombay Dyeing, KAFF, Finolex, Everyuth and SERVO, tourism films for Karnataka, and entertainment promos for national broadcasters — the folio's Career Archive shows this work as it should be shown: as pedigree, honestly labelled.
At Double Shot, that experience now answers to a single standard: premium. The studio's recent work spans food, personal care, agriculture and wellness — including the Metabolically Lean film series for The Good Bug, shampoo and dairy films for CavinKare brands, and tractor films for Kubota — produced across India and finished in-house.
Raghavendra is also among the first Indian advertising filmmakers to build a serious AI production practice alongside the traditional craft — known in the industry as 'The AI Advertising Director.' His position is a practitioner's, not a technologist's: real-world commercial filmmaking is the foundation; AI is the leverage layer. The judgement stays human. The possibilities multiply.
